OSRA - Latest Update regarding COVID-19
Submitted By Admin on Friday, March 20, 2020
Dear Storm Players and Parents,

In response to recent announcements by Ringette Canada and Ringette Ontario, as well as in partnership with our Central Region associations we like to provide you with some updates.

The Oshawa Storm 2019-2020 season has concluded. All games, practices, dryland and team events are cancelled and will not be rescheduled.

  1. The 2020-21 season tryouts scheduled for April 23-25 and May 7-9 have been cancelled. These will be rescheduled once the City of Oshawa facilities return to normal operations.

  2. At this point we have not cancelled Summer Ringette, we will make that decision, if necessary, as we receive further guidance from Ringette Ontario and information from the City of Oshawa.

  3. Jerseys and Equipment will be collected at a later date and information will be forthcoming. Parents and players are asked to take jerseys out of equipment bags and wash..

  4. Our AGM scheduled for May 11 is postponed. We will reschedule when we are able to.

  5. Our coach application remains open for our AA and A teams. Please continue to submit your applications athttps://oshawaringette.ca/Forms/1750/2020_21_Coach_Application_Form/. The application will remain open beyond March 23. The originally scheduled interview dates have been postponed and we will update when we know more.

  6. Our coach feedback survey posted on our website also remains open, please use some of your home time to complete this if you have not already.https://oshawaringette.ca/Forms/1601/2019_20_Season_-_Survey/

These are extraordinary times, we are making decisions as information becomes available as things are changing all the time. We are devastated at the way our season ended and feel terribly for our players, coaches and bench staff. We encourage everyone to make sure you are able to follow Oshawa Storm, Ringette Ontario and RIngette Canada social media platforms. Reaching out to our community is one way that we can all keep in touch and look forward together to our next season.

    Holly Davies, President
on behalf of the Oshawa Storm Ringette Association Executive and Board of Directors
