Late Goal Lifts U12R Storm to Draw with Pickering

The Oshawa Storm scored two late goals to earn a 7-7 tie with the Pickering Lightning in U12 Regional action on Sunday at the Delpark Homes Centre.

After Lauren McDonald scored her second goal of the game with 1:43 left in the 2nd half to bring the Storm to within one, Mackenzie Stone took a pass from Rachael Bryan and beat the Pickering goalie to tie the game at seven with just seven seconds left on the clock.

Bryan added three goals to go with one assist, while Ellie Sargent notched a goal and two helpers in the draw.

Jena Marshall, Abby Alchin, Emma Davies and Stone each added single assists. 

Stella Youngs made key saves down the stretch to keep the Storm within striking distance. 

U8 Storm Battle in Sunderland 
The Oshawa Storm U8 team played in Sunderland on Sunday afternoon in a hard fought game. 

Camille Mathers netted the only two goals for the Storm, while Jackson Missons played a strong game between the pipes.
