U8 Squad Takes Whitby Tournament by ‘Storm’
Submitted By Oshawa Storm PR on Tuesday, January 8, 2019
The Oshawa Storm U8 team had a great time playing a pair of games in the Whitby Ringette Association’s Annual Tournament last weekend.

Early Saturday morning the Storm took on the Forest Xtreme ‘B’ and posted an 8-3 victory.

Camille Mathers led the way with four goals, while Adele Keeler netted a hat trick. Callum Bruce added a single tally, while Keira Dewar was solid in net.

Following the game the Storm joined all teams competing in the U8 division for Bunnyfest, where they enjoyed hot chocolate, snacks, colouring and crafts.

After Bunnyfest, the team took in the National Ringette League game between Le Royal de Bourassa and the Richmond Hill Lightning, which featured several local players.

The Storm closed out the tournament with an afternoon game against the Forest Xtreme ‘W’.

Bruce put in a stellar performance in net making multiple big saves.

Keeler recorded another hat trick, while Mathers, Dewar and Harper McAlister added single markers.
